Hi Tracey, I missed the livestream, and have just watched the replay. My question is …..when you are stitching your pages, do you require a special needle and do you reinforce the paper.

Pauley..Hi! Thanks for watching. No I don’t use a special needle. I rarely change or break the needle and I sew through a big stack of fabrics and papers. I’m not sure what you mean by reinforce the paper. I usually stitch the paper using a zigzag stitch. Sometimes I add tape to the spine for decorative purposes. It also helps to use a thicker cardstock/watercolor paper or heavy fabric for the cover. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Have you tried Misty Fuse? Really cool stuff for fusing fabrics, papers, etc. very lightweight and holds great. You can sew through it without goofing up your needles. It doesn’t have a baking. Use parchment paper over or under it to protect surface and iron.

Denise..Hi. Yes, I have. I also like to use heat-n-bond lite. There are a few techniques in Collage Unleashed and Doodles Unleashed where I show how I use them for art quilting and journal covers.
