I can totally understand the advantage of flattening the glue before it dries. I also think mine were too intricate. Definitely didn’t get good prints with Gelli plate. Did try spraying inks on deli paper, but they were soft and tie-dye fuzzy. Not bad, but not as crisp as Traci’s were on the fabric.

Vicki..that’s a great stencil image, it’s very painterly. Work on small sections of the hot glue at a time..draw a few lines then flatten the top, you’ll get a more uniformed stencil. Also experiment spraying inks on paper and fabric, the sprays will soak into the paper and should be more vibrant. When you spray over deli paper, it can cause the paint/ink to sit on top of the paper. This will result in more muted prints. have fun playing!
