Question about papers. When do you use a photocopy of a master, and when do you use original? Also, what kind of paper do you use for reproduction?

Vicki..it’s really up to you. You can use either at any time. It depends on the printer I’m using, if it’s a laser printer then laser paper. I prefer Mohawk color copy paper. I find it at Kelly Paper store http://kellypaper.com/ if it’s an inkjet then I use inkjet paper that I buy at Staples. I use both multi-purpose and premium Staples and HP inkjet papers.

Thanks, Traci! I didn’t know if you were using regular weight or 32# like teesha Moore does. Also, which inkjet do you use? I have an aging commercial Xerox color laser, and want to try ink jet on skins like you show.

Vicki..I use all different weights including the cover stock depending on the application. I have two inkjet printers. For my collage sheets and everyday printing I use a HP 8600 Premium which I bought when it first was released over 2 years ago. It still works great and the price is now a lot less than what I originally paid for it. There are probably better and new printers available now. Also, I bought an inexpensive Epson just for printing on my Acrylic skins. It’s an Epson XP-410. It’s best to use an inkjet which feeds straight through and doesn’t turn the paper. There is less chance of the skin getting caught in the printer.
