I’m confused. The first page of Artist Information Sheet asked me to take a few minutes to answer “the following questions” about my artistic path. But then there were no questions after that other than the option to click on having finished that unit. I never saw any questions. Also, I thought there was an intro ‘video’ to watch. I’ve only seen these ‘slides’ to read. Am I missing something? Help! :o)
Scroll over the form and the questions will pop up. Please watch the orientation video on the classroom home page. The intro to session one was done through our kick-off live stream, so make sure to watch that before you move onto the lessons.
I love Traci’s style and colorful paintings. As I’ve been doing art for many years, I’ve only been doing mixed media and art journaling about 8 years. I think I’m combining my favorite artists work, putting it into a mixer, and developing my own style…..at least that’s what I’m trying to do. I started tole painting back in the 60’s! Yikes, that’s before most of you all were born! This isn’t being published, is it?
Joyce..Hi! Thanks for sharing your experience. Yes..that’s the best way is to learn a bunch of styles, through continual practice and PLAY your creative style will develop. It is a slow process, something that can take years to develop and hone in on. I’m excited to see your progress through the lessons in class. I look forward to seeing your artwork and having you in class! Yes.. the comments get published once I have a chance to review them and respond.
Hi,
I had to laugh about Joyce’s comment about tole painting because I learned to do that from a wonderful artist in my home town and that is what started me on my artistic path. So Joyce you never know where inspiration comes from and so happy that you have continued on. And THANK YOU Traci for taking the time to do these e-courses – so wonderful to date.
Thanks again,
Gail
Hi Gail C,
Glad to know there’s someone in the group who’s even heard of tole painting! Lol
